When everything is complete dark, the human eye can detect the light of a candle from 14 miles away.
This is why I love the sun. I can see it in the middle of the day.
When everything is completely dark, I wonder from how far I can see you?
My guess would be from the surface of the moon, or ever further.
You're the only one who shines so brightly for me.
Living on a planet occupied with the lights of everyone's eyes, our planet must illuminate this spacious sky so wonderfully for all the other cold and lonely planets to swoon over.
But there isn't only one light for everyone.
You are the light that I can love that lives within my reach.
Looking up into the stars at night, I wonder what those stars really mean.
Those dots in the sky, are those the candles from other galaxies that are shining for me, so far away, the light from which i'm catching the tail end of the life who's ended how many years ago when it shone on it's own?
My heart can feel love from an infinite number of things, and you very well may be shining bright enough for someone else's eyes to see from light-years away, but they will never have you like I do.
Don't run out of fuel before I do.
Keep on shining.
Because desperation will make me do things that I may not think through so well.
I don't want to go on a mission to launch myself into space moving towards my love on some far away planet only to discover that my love is a giant ball of fissioning hydrogens.
Well, if you think about it, so many put faith into our Son here already, I guess I could be happy there, too.
